He is a professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law (Sports, Society & Law course) focusing on antitrust, drug testing, labor, licensing, league authority, sports agents and Title IX. Ham was the first attorney to challenge, overturn, and change NFL drug testing policy (Richard Dent v. NFL, 1988). Ham's key sports cases: Richard Dent v. NFL (drug policy/league authority); Knapp v. Northwestern University (athlete disability); Zucker, et. al v. American Greetings (trade secrets). Mr. Ham is the author of three sports books, including the latest, Larceny & Old Leather, about the mischievous history and personality of Major League Baseball. Mr. Ham has a B.A. in Finance from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and a J.D. from Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law.
