Louis James
Sports Operations, CPS


Louis JamesLouis James is the administrator of Sports Operations for the Chicago Public Schools Department of Sports Administration. Louis works very closely with the executive director of the department in providing the day-to-day operational support for the athletic programs in the school district. Louis is instrumental in all financial aspects of running the department including negotiating agreements with the United Center, Soldier Field, UIC Pavilion and other smaller venues.

Louis is a native of western Pennsylvania where he graduated from Farrell High School and earned multiple athletic letters. Louis earned a Bachelors of Science degree in marketing from Millikin University and a Masters of Science degree in management from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa. Louis was a four year starter in football at Millikin University and was selected to the All-Conference team three years. In 1992 Louis was inducted into Millikin University's Athletic Hall of Fame.

Louis lives in Chicago where his daughter and son were Chicago Public School student-athletes.
